Chapter 1.4

Gaia is becoming quite the cook. She’s even starting to dabble in Gourmet cooking. Though I’m not sure why pancakes need to be flambe’d.

She’s also still collecting plants she doesn’t have yet. Thank goodness for grafting as a lot of these plants seem to never be ready to harvest.

I was itching to revamp the house, so while evryone was out for the day I redid the house. So much easier now to bulldoze a house and rebuild. Her garden is in the back.

Another birthday is here, so Gaia happily whips up a cake.

And who is the lucky birthday sim? It’s Caroline! Ready to become a teen already! Gaia tried to hold back her tears at her little girl growing up.

Caroline grew up into a gorgeous little rebel. She decided she liked music, and wanted to become a famous musician. She also gained the Romantic trait. Look out boys!

Of course, Caroline still takes her big sister duties seriously, and was happy to spend her birthday party playing chess with Darwin.

During her adventures gathering new plants, Gaia finally befriended the tree over by Crick Cabana and made her way to the beautiful Sylvan glade. I have a feeling she’ll be going here often.

Alas, the plants here were all sprouts and couldn’t have cuttings taken, so Gaia fished in the pond a bit, catching a rare Treefish or two. She vowed to come back and recheck the plants later.

Caroline got a violin for her birthday, and was instantly told she had to stay in her room with it until she improved.

That night, Elvis surprised us with his birthday. I felt awful that he didn’t get a cake.

Darwin: So now Caroline is a teen and dad is old? Who will I play with now?

And in case anyone is curious what a treefish looks like…

Poor Elvis was so upset that everyone forgot his birthday. I had a bit of a laugh though at the sounds he was making while crying under the covers.

Thankfully Gaia was around to remind him that he was still loved. Caroline tried to ignore the PDA.

Caroline had no interest in toys anymore, so Darwin took to playing at the kitchen table while Gaia was cooking. Action Man ended up being one of his favorites.

Elvis realized that his time on this earth wasn’t long, and he started spending mornings with his family, often getting up before everyone to make pancakes. (Also someone in this family has a very bad habit of leaving glasses of juice and milk everywhere to rot)

Caroline tried to make Darwin feel better about her being away, and took him to the park. Of course, the light was perfect for a selfie. Duck face and all.

Caroline decided to practice some more, and even though she’s still a bit…green, she did make some tips from her playing!
