Chapter 1.2

Married life started with a bang when, while daydreaming making breakfast, Gaia caught the stove on fire.

While Elvis unhelpfully screamed from the hallway, Gaia took matters into her own hands and put the fire out.

After the harrowing incident, Elvis took it upon himself to stay by Gaia’s side for the rest of the day. He didn’t think that much excitement could be good for the baby.

Gaia’s pregnancy progressed normally, including cravings for chocolate chip cookies. She got QUITE large, which concerned Elvis and the Controller that perhaps there was more than one kid in there…

Of course the baby waited for Elvis to leave before it decided to arrive. Poor Gaia got through her labor like a trooper though.

And with triumphant fanfare, the first child of the Legacy is born! She is named Caroline, after Naturalist Caroline Dormon (I decided to name the kids after famous scientists who studied nature).

Elvis of course took on his daddy duties quite seriously. Which was good, as Gaia was worn out from pregnancy.

This pic just makes me melt.

Gaia of course also takes Mommy duties very seriously.

Caroline grew up before we knew it into a darling little girl! Kids can’t have Mom’s hair color, so it’s still to be seen if she has mom’s hair or not.

She gained the Whiz Kid aspiration. She also got the genius trait (I’m using Pinstar’s randomiser tool for their traits).

Caroline got a nifty chess table for her birthday, and promptly began trouncing anyone who dared play against her.

She definitely wanted to be good at everything. I love watching them draw at the table! She was particularly fond of using glitter.

Of course, Caroline also liked to play pretend with her big stuffed dragon. Especially since she was currently an only kid.

Caroline: Daddy, I’m sleepy.
Elvis: Almost done sweety. “And then the octopus wrapped it’s arms around the ship, scattering the sailors everywhere…”

Thankfully, it turned out Caroline wouldn’t be an only child for long, Gaia was pregnant again! Thankfully Caroline took the news well and was very excited to have a new sibling.

With a new sibling on the way, Caroline decided to get to work learning some motor skills, so that she could teach her baby sibling a few things.

Of course, playing around with new friends is also important.

As is learning how to man a spaceship.
